Bang it again—top hair trend for Fall 2012

As the summer and its humidity draw to an end, consider cutting off some of that sun-damaged hair. With the return of cooler, drier days, fighting cowlicks and humidity-driven frizz will be less challenging and time-consuming.

Bangs had a strong presence on the Fall runways of leading fashion houses; they’ve been given a Hollywood embrace; and there are more fringe varieties on the street than ever. Now is the time for a chop!

Consider your face shape for the right look. A round or square face needs to show a little forehead to elongate it, so consider a side bang and avoid a straight-across look. Bangs are the perfect way to shorten a long face. Oval faces can work with any bang style—short, long, micro, choppy, solid, straight, or asymmetrical. Shag out some of the layers you grew out for that easy summer ponytail for a fresh new take on easy wash-and-wear hair.

On shampooed and conditioned hair apply some Davines No3 Matting Mousse. Arrange with fingers and air dry. Break up dry style with fingers and apply John Masters Shine On for texture and separation.
